Trekking Tours
|
India has a vast landmass that is varied in structure and extends over all types of landforms ranging from the mighty Himalayas and its rich forests, to the Ganges valley and on to the plateau in the south and the deserts of Rajasthan. Each region offers varied opportunities for trekking, though the Himalayan ranges are perhaps the favorite. Probably it is so due to the cooler temperatures and the picturesque forests that attract tourists here.
All levels of trekking can be arranged for the tourist. One can choose levels ranging from: Elementary Trekking, Medium Trekking to Strenuous Trekking. Some of the more popular trekking destinations in India are the Western Himalayas covering the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh; and the Eastern Himalayas covering the Darjeeling region of West Bengal, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh. During the winter season however the favored destination is the Western Ghats which lie on the southern Plateau.
No matter what season or which terrain you choose for your trekking, India is bound to charm you along the way.
